What is your general pricing? Wedding cakes are charged per serving/guest. Tiered {buttercream} wedding cakes start at $7.50/serving, with many clients choosing designs at $7-8/serving. Tiered {fondant} wedding cakes start at $8/serving, with many clients choosing designs at $8 to $11 per serving. Pricing increases based on the complexity of design. Tiered wedding cakes must serve a minimum of 50 people.
In addition to tiered wedding cakes, sheet cakes or "kitchen cakes" are also available in two sizes: 50 servings {$225} or 75 servings {$340}. *Sheet cakes are only available in addition to tiered wedding cakes serving 50 or more.
Do you deliver?
Absolutely! My delivery fee starts at $80 for most of the Northern Virginia-DC area (this includes most venues about 30 minutes from my shop in Sterling). Due to logistics on busy weekends and travel time, I will not travel more than 1 hour to a venue during the height of wedding season {May-Oct}.
As a one woman show, I also have a delivery minimum of $400. If you are having a smaller event the order can be picked up from my studio in Sterling {the cake will be packaged with transportation in mind!}
What about set up?
My delivery fee {$80} includes standard set-up.
Additional fees: Cupcake arrangment {$25}
On-site fresh floral arrangement {$15} - flowers can be brought to my shop the day before the event and arranged for no addtional charge
When can I book?
Being a one woman show, I only take a limited number of weddings each weekend and tend to book fairly quickly. I recommend scheduling a tasting/consultation some time between 6-9 months before your big day. I prefer scheduling tastings no more than 9 months in advance for your wedding. You must have a solid date and venue set before setting up an appointment.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Over the course of the pandemic, I shifted to take-home tasting boxes followed with a video or phone consult and will continue this moving forward. Tasting boxes can be picked up on Fridays and Saturdays (by appointment) and consist of 4 flavors (your choice) for $25. Please email me directly to discuss further!
Do you offer grooms/brides cakes?
Everyone deserves cake on their big day :) I can happily provide a custom cake for your rehearsal dinner or wedding day. Custom cakes are priced by design.
Do you offer any sort of edible favors?
French macarons are often ordered as favors! These can be ordered in an assortment of flavors and/or colors and in a assortment of box sizes. Cupcakes and Cakeballs can also be ordered as edible gifts for your guests.
